Mother’s Day is more than just a time to appreciate all that your mother has done for you. It’s a time to toast her and her achievements in giving birth to you, keeping you alive, teaching you life skills and still loving you despite all the dumb stuff you may have done in your short time on earth.
At VelvetCrate we wanted to think back to some of our fondest milestones of being a mom--enduring the good, the bad, and the ugly--all in the name of love!
For the past four years, VelvetCrate is typically in “holiday mode” the day after Halloween. From that day on, it’s nonstop fulfilling corporate and custom orders along with our regular holiday gifts, so it’s go-go-go time. When I found I was pregnant early last year and that the due date for my second daughter Lucy was November 1st, I had a small panic attack. How could I survive the busy VelvetCrate season AND have a newborn and a toddler? As a small business owner, you can’t exactly take maternity leave, especially during your busiest time of year. I have no idea how I did it for those six weeks leading up to Christmas but somehow I survived. The busy holidays and a new baby must have created such an adrenaline rush that I somehow pulled through. Although it was quite stressful, it was such a magical time. There’s nothing I like more than keeping busy with VelvetCrate … except snuggles with a new bundle of joy during the Christmas season.
Celebrate mom this Mother’s Day with a unique VelvetCrate that shows just how much you appreciate her.
This special crate can include a delicious toast with Sugarfina Champagne Bears, Because You’re the Absolute Best gift book filled with whimsical passages, and citrus Mimosa Hand Cream for pampering!
